From Typewriter to iPhone
Plan now to attend the 2008 Portland Communicator's Conference hosted by OCIABC and PRSA Portland. This year, for the first time, the conference has expanded to two days. Also a first, OCIABC and PRSA Portland have partnered with the North Pacific District of PRSA to include communications professionals form Alaska, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
The Conference theme is From Typewriter to iPhone: Being Heard by Multiple Generations. The event will provide the latest insights and best practices on communicating with and working alongside people from different age groups.
Joel Stein, a columnist for the Los Angeles Time and a regular contributor to TIME and VH1, will deliver a humorous keynote on intergenerational differences. Ron Alsop, news editor and senior writer for the Wall Street Journal will be the closing keynote speaker.
For more information go to ww.pdxcommconf.org. Early bird registration is open through March 14.
