March 11 meeting at Simplot
On behalf of the 2008 Board of Directors for the Idaho Chapter of PRSA, I'd like to invite you to join us for our next meeting on March 11 titled 'Surviving in a World of Publics and Politics.' The board has been busy planning fewer but more robust meetings for chapter members this year to ensure that your time is well spent on professional programs that are engaging, interesting and relevant to all professions. Our March program will be a panel presentation and discussion, moderated by The Galatin Group President Marc Johnson.
In what is sure to be a lively and relevant to all discussion, you will learn (or for some, be reminded of) how to:
- Work through internal / external layers to get the job done - Define your community and constituents - Prioritize who you communicate with - Manage controversy - Message to meet your agenda
Panelists will include Jon Hanian, Press Secretary, Office of the Governor, State of Idaho; Dan Hollar, Administrator, Public Information and Communications, Boise School District and Roberta D'Amico, Program Lead, Fire Communications and Education, National Park Service (NIFC).
We look forward to seeing you on March 11 at JR Simplot, 999 Main Street.
The program will begin at 11:30 and lunch will be provided ($12 members / $15 nonmembers). RSVP to Joanne Taylor, 342-0925 or jtaylor@esdrake.com. For more details or to find out how to become a member, please visit our Web site at www.prsaidaho.org.
