Join your colleagues and members of the Public Relations Society of America’s Idaho Chapter to discuss the current state of media, share the breadth and editorial focuses of Eastern Idaho news organizations and learn how attendees can effectively build relationships and understand their journalists’ needs. Attendees will also learn more about eastern Idaho’s media market and what editors look for when covering local and regional stories.

Travis Quast, Regional President, Adams Publishing Group. Adams Publishing has 18 daily and weekly news outlets in Idaho and many others throughout the country including the Post Register, Idaho State Journal, Rexburg Standard Journal, the Bingham News Chronicle and the Idaho Press. He previously served as the publisher of the Twin Falls Times-News and The Voice in Idaho and the Elko Daily Free Press in Nevada. He serves on the board of directors for the Newspaper Association of Idaho and is a member of the University of Idaho Journalism and Mass Media Advisory committee.

Kalvin Pike, General Manager, News-Press & Gazette Company. Kalvin spent the bulk of his 30+ year career as a TV station sales manager helping businesses expand their awareness to potential customers and ultimately increase their business revenues. Kalvin has worked in Bakersfield, CA, Denver, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, El Paso, TX and is now on his second stint in Idaho Falls as the General Manager of Local News 8 ABC, CBS, FOX, CW & Telemundo affiliates.
