Code of Ethics

PRSA Idaho supports the national PRSA Code of Ethics by providing ongoing education and awareness.

The PRSA Ratified Code of Ethics:

  • PRSA members demonstrate their commitment to ethical communications everyday.  Through their language, behavior and guidance, they help us establish the standards of conduct for the business of today.
  • There are universal values that inspire ethical behavior and performance.  PRSA members value advocacy, expertise, honesty, independence, loyalty and fairness. Prominent focus on universal values that inspire ethical behavior and performance.  These values are reflected in the PRSA Code of Ethics.

The PRSA Code of Ethics is built upon fundamental values and strongly advises public relation professionals to:

  • Foster and progress the course of truthful information
  • Guard all personal and confidential information
  • Promote knowledgeable decision making
  • Encourage friendly competition among professionals and colleagues
  • Fortify the communities trust in public relations professionals
