Kelly Sasso | Micron Technology, Inc.
Why did you choose Public Relations?
I love the relational and collaborative aspects of the Public Relations profession. It is so satisfying to bring new memory and storage technologies and products to market and tell a well-crafted story about why these highly complex solutions matter and make a difference in all of our day-to-day lives.
What do you want other PRSA members to know about you and your employer?
America's economic & national security rely on Micron's memory and storage technologies. The scale of Micron's plans to invest over $140 billion to bring leading-edge memory technology to the U.S. with critical funding support from the CHIPS and Science Act will propel the country's semiconductor ecosystem and create over 67,000 U.S. jobs, building supply chain resilience and ensuring national security that will drive America's technological leadership for decades.
What has been your proudest accomplishment in your PR career so far?
Over the past several years, Micron's innovation and leadership within the technology industry have enabled us to launch dozens of exciting new products and technology solutions that power everything from data centers and the growth of AI workloads to mobile devices and even boost the performance of consumer PCs. I've had an opportunity to participate in many of these key product launches, and I love finding unique and meaningful ways to tell our Micron stories!
What do you hope to gain from your involvement with PRSA Idaho?
By participating in PRSA Idaho, I'm able to meet so many incredible PR professionals from other industries and organizations that I would otherwise not cross paths with professionally. PRSA Idaho not only offers members networking opportunities but also the chance to learn best practices within the profession that can be applied to any company or organization. I look forward to continuing my own professional growth and development as I learn from others and our PRSA resources.
